Dr. Bengü Başarı was born in Nicosia in 1998. She completed her entire educational life at Near East University. Following her undergraduate education in dentistry, she continued her doctoral studies at the same university and was awarded her PhD degree in 2026.
During her doctoral studies, she focused on dental radiology and artificial intelligence applications. In her dissertation titled “Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Dental Caries Detection Using Image Processing Techniques and Digital Image Data on Panoramic Radiographs,” she examined the effectiveness of image processing methods applied to panoramic radiographs and the diagnostic accuracy of artificial intelligence–supported analyses in detecting dental caries. This study provides significant scientific data for early diagnosis, diagnostic accuracy, and the advancement of digital dentistry applications.
She continues her academic and scientific work in the fields of digital imaging, dental radiology, artificial intelligence applications, and diagnostic image analysis. Her research interests include panoramic radiography, image processing techniques, analysis of digital image data, and artificial intelligence–assisted dentistry applications.
