Assist. Prof. Dr. Beren ÖZSOY

Assist. Prof. Dr. Beren Özsoy was born in Nicosia in 1993. He completed his primary education at Girne American Primary School (1999–2004), his secondary education at Girne American College (2004–2007), and his high school education at the same institution (2007–2011), graduating with honors.

Dr. Özsoy completed his undergraduate education at the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry between 2011 and 2016. Following his graduation, he continued his academic studies in the Department of Orthodontics at Near East University. He successfully completed his doctoral education between 2016 and 2023 and was awarded the title of Doctor of Science in Orthodontics. Immediately after completing his doctoral program, he was granted the title of Assistant Professor in 2023. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Near East University.

Dr. Özsoy has published scientific studies in national and international peer-reviewed and indexed journals. He has also continued his academic activities through presentations delivered at national and international scientific meetings. His scientific and clinical interests include low-level laser therapy, methods for accelerating orthodontic tooth movement, mini-screw supported orthodontic applications, and clear aligner therapy.

In his academic work, Dr. Özsoy adopts an approach grounded in current scientific developments and continues his clinical and academic activities in the field of orthodontics in line with contemporary diagnostic and treatment methods.

Dr. Özsoy is a member of the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association, the Cyprus Turkish Dental Association, and the Turkish Orthodontic Society.
