
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ceren Melahat Dönmezer Birand was born on November 23, 1994. She completed her secondary education in 2008 and graduated from high school in 2012. In 2017, she received her DDS degree from Near East University Faculty of Dentistry.
She continued her academic training at the same institution and completed her PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2022 with her dissertation titled “Comparison of the Effects of PRF and Postoperative Systemic Antibiotic Therapies in Third Molar Surgeries.” Following the successful completion of her doctoral studies, she was awarded the title of Doctor of Science.
In 2023, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Near East University, where she continues her academic and clinical work in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Dönmezer Birand has authored and co-authored several scientific publications in national and international indexed journals. She has also actively participated in numerous congresses and symposiums, presenting both oral and poster presentations.
Her academic and clinical interests include third molar surgery, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) applications, wound healing, low-level laser therapy (LLLT), odontogenic infections, and basic and advanced oral surgical techniques.
