Dr. Fatma Basmacı was born on April 6, 1986, in Nicosia. She achieved top honors in secondary school in 2000 and once again in high school in 2003. In 2008, she successfully graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. Subsequently, she embarked on her doctoral studies in the Department of Endodontics at Near East University Institute of Health Sciences. In 2013, she attained the title of Doctor of Science by defending her doctoral thesis titled " Ex vivo evaluation of various instrumentation techniques and irrigants in reducing E. faecalis within root canals".

In 2015, she was appointed as an assistant professor at Near East University. In 2022, she demonstrated success in the associate professorship examination and was appointed as an associate professor at Near East University.
Dr. Basmacı has contributed various articles to both national and international indexed journals. Additionally, she has actively participated in several conferences and symposiums, delivering insightful presentations. Her academic and clinical pursuits encompass a broad spectrum, including endodontic microbiology, root canal obturation, antioxidant therapy, canal preparation, intracoronal bleaching, and internal resorption.
