She graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry as a dentist in 1987 and completed her doctoral thesis titled "The role of endotoxins in periapical lesions" in the Department of Endodontics of the same university in 1995 and received the title of doctor dentist. She continued her academic life as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at the same university and retired in 2013.

In 2011, she went to Oman Dental College (Muscat / Sultanate of Oman) as a Visiting Professor and worked as a Professor in the Department of Adult Restorative Dentistry / Endodontology until 2021.

Dr. Fügen Dağlı Cömert has been working as a Professor at the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics since October 2022

Dr. Dağlı Cömert has more than 80 research publications/posters/oral presentations published in international/national scientific journals, doctoral theses she has supervised, chapters/translations in international books. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Endodontics and the European Society of Endodontology (ESE).
