Professor Nuran Ulusoy was born in Antalya. After her Elementary School education in Antalya, she finished Middle School and High School at TED Ankara College. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1973 and completed her PhD studies at the same faculty in 1978. She became Assistant Professor in 1982, Associate Professor in 1986, and Professor in 1992.

She received a research grant from the Turkish Scientific Research Foundation (Tubitak) in collaboration with the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in the USA. Due to this funded research project, she worked as ‘’Visiting Professor’’ at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1989 and 1990.

She worked as the Chairperson of the Restorative Dentistry Department at Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry during the years 1987-1989 and Chairperson of the Restorative Dentistry Department at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry between the years 1994-2010.

She has been a member of the Senate of Near East University since 2010 and has continued her position as the Chairperson of the Restorative Dentistry Department at Near East University Faculty of Dentistry since then.

Prof. Dr.Nuran Ulusoy has articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international scientific meetings.

She is a member of the International Association for Dental Research and Restorative Dentistry Association and is on the referee list of various scientific journals published in Turkey.

Professor Nuran Ulusoy is married to her colleague, Professor Mutahhar Ulusoy, and has two children.
