Şemsi Alp was born in 1991 in Nicosia. He graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif College in 2010 and completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Dentistry at Near East University in 2016. In the same year, he started his doctoral education in the Department of Restorative Dental Treatment at the Faculty of Dentistry at Near East University. In 2020, he defended his doctoral thesis titled "Examination of the Effects of Different Materials and Techniques in Mod Cavity Restoration with Finite Element Stress Analysis Method" and obtained the title of Doctor of Science.

Dr. Şemsi Alp has articles in national and international indexed journals, as well as presentations at conferences and symposiums. His academic interests include teeth whitening, aesthetic dentistry, laminate veneers, and dental biomaterials.
