Şemsi Alp was born in Nicosia in 1991. She graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif College in 2010 and from Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2016. In the same year, she began her doctoral studies in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Near East University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2020, she received her Doctor of Science degree by defending her doctoral thesis titled "Investigation of the Effects of Different Materials and Techniques in Mod Cavity Restoration Using Finite Element Stress Analysis Method". Assist. Prof. Dr. Şemsi Alp, who has articles in national and international indexed journals and presentations at congresses and symposiums, has academic interests in whitening, aesthetic dentistry, laminate veneers, and dental biomaterials.
