Collegium Dentalis – A Student-Centered Academic and Social Organization System

Collegium Dentalis is an organizational system at Near East University Faculty of Dentistry designed to support students’ academic, clinical, social, and athletic development while fostering team spirit and social responsibility.

Newly enrolled students are randomly assigned to one of four collegiums (Auris, Nova, Orion, Zenith). Throughout the academic year, they earn points for their collegium through academic achievements, clinical performance, scientific activities, social events, and sports competitions.

Each collegium is led by a Magister Collegii (selected from 5th-year students) and a Vicarius Collegii (selected from 4th-year students), who are elected by their fellow collegium members. These leaders are responsible for enhancing team motivation, managing events, and strengthening collegium unity.

At the end of the academic year, the collegium with the highest total score is awarded the Collegium Dentalis Cup. Additionally, outstanding individual students are recognized with special achievement certificates.

Collegium Dentalis is an innovative system that encourages active participation in education, balances collaboration and competition, and enhances social interaction within the faculty.
