Regarding 2025-2026 Academic Year Spring Term Course Selections

Selection of Faculty Mandatory and University Common Mandatory Courses

In order to ensure the smooth and effective execution of our university’s academic processes, students are required to complete their registration for faculty mandatory and university common mandatory courses on time. Within this scope, all students must select their courses through the Genius Student Information System during the registration period. For the course registration process to be finalized, the selected courses must be approved by the academic advisor. Therefore, it is important that students inform their advisors via email after completing their course selections to initiate the approval process. Course registrations that are not approved by the advisor will not be considered valid. Students are kindly requested to follow the process carefully to avoid any potential inconvenience.

You can access the updated list of elective courses, along with brief descriptions and content information for each course, through the relevant document. Reviewing these descriptions carefully before making your selections will help you plan your academic path more effectively.

Will First-Year Students Select Elective Courses for the Spring Semester?

Unlike previous years, beginning with the 2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester, the course “21st Century Skills” has been added to the curriculum as a mandatory course for first-year students. Therefore, first-year students will not select an elective course for the spring semester. All first-year students will be automatically enrolled in the 21st Century Skills course, which will be delivered by AI Prof. Dux, and are required to complete this course.

At Which Stage Should I Complete My Elective Course Registration?

  • Identify the elective course you wish to enroll in from the courses offered for your class.
  • First, register for the course on the UZEBİM platform (provided that the quota has not been filled).
  • Then register for the same course in the Genius Student Information System.
  • Inform your academic advisor via email and request approval for your course registration.

⚠️ If you do not first register for the relevant elective course on UZEBİM, your course selection will be considered invalid.

We wish you a successful and productive academic semester.
