The III. International Dental Education Congress, organized by the National Dental Education Volunteers (UDEG) with the aim of enhancing the quality of dental education and strengthening international collaborations, was successfully held between February 20-22, 2025, at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, İzzet Baysal Cultural Center. This year, the congress was themed “National Core Curricula and Their Implementation”, bringing together distinguished academics who shed light on the future of dental education. The event, which commenced with specialized courses led by experts in the field, evolved into an international scientific gathering with contributions from scholars from various countries.
Our faculty was proudly represented at the congress by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Sevcan Kurtulmuş Yılmaz and esteemed faculty members Prof. Dr. Ayşe Nil Altay, Prof. Dr. Fügen Dağlı Cömert, Prof. Dr. Seçil Aksoy, Assist. Prof. Dr. Meltem Küçük, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilan Kırmızı.
In this prestigious scientific event, where academic knowledge and expertise were shared, Prof. Dr. Sevcan Kurtulmuş Yılmaz and Prof. Dr. Seçil Aksoy served as moderators, leading the scientific sessions. Additionally, Assist. Prof. Dr. Meltem Küçük and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilan Kırmızı contributed to the academic community through their oral presentations. Furthermore, our faculty members participated in the courses “Developing Rubrics (Performance Assessment Tools)” and “Designing a Communication Curriculum,” engaging in discussions on innovative educational approaches. Within the scope of the DUÇEP Literacy Workshop, Prof. Dr. Seçil Aksoy and Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilan Kırmızı delivered insightful presentations, highlighting the importance of standardization and curriculum development in dental education.
