Prof. Dr. Seçil AKSOY

Seçil Aksoy was born in Ordu in 1984. In 2002, she graduated from Ordu Fatih High School, and in 2007 she graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2008 she started her doctorate education at Near East University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. In 2013, she defended her doctoral thesis titled "Three-dimensional evaluation of paranasal sinuses and anatomic variations with upper airway anatomy using CBCT" and received the title of Ph.D.

In 2013, she was appointed as an assistant professor at Near East University. In 2017, she was granted the title of associate professor by the Interuniversity Board of Türkiye; in 2023, she was promoted to full professorship.
Prof. Dr. Seçil Aksoy was appointed as the Coordinator of the Self-Assessment Board at Near East University. Additionally, she serves on the Education Commission of the Council of Deans of Dentistry of Türkiye and Northern Cyprus.

Prof. Dr. Aksoy has numerous articles published in national and internationally indexed journals, speeches, and presentations at congresses and symposiums. Her academic interests include cone beam computed tomography, imaging of paranasal sinuses, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, upper airway imaging, and dental imaging. She is married and has one child.
